Here’s a quick update on what’s new at SpiritualTeachers.org and elsewhere.
The latest edition of the Journals of Spiritual Discovery podcast features “The Essence of Confrontation with Art Ticknor.” Several years ago, I featured Art in my film Closer Than Close, so catching up was long overdue. As always, the podcast is free, and there’s also video available for this episode.
The next TAT virtual event is November 7-8, 2020. Over eighty participants enjoyed the two-day event in August, and November promises another worthwhile weekend. The theme is Absolute and Relative. “The Buddha nature to me is nothing more than the vein of the absolute that’s in every human being. But what will it take for it to be conscious, for the person to be conscious of it?”
A New Book
In my spare time, I help ease books into print through the TAT Foundation Press. Sense of Self is the latest from Art Ticknor. Filled with pithy observations, excerpts of dialogues with seekers, and a scattering of poems and photographs, Sense of Self brings the attention again and again to the space within. “Awakening is facing the ultimate practical reality.”
What I’m Pondering
“I am looking for that which contains the totality of everything, including me” — that is a koan worthy of the ancient masters. ~ V.C.
